Terms of Service

Xunda Tech — Kireka, Kamuli Road, Kampala, Uganda
Effective 19 September 2026

These terms govern your use of xunda3d.com and everything you buy from us through it: made-to-order 3D printing, CNC routing and laser cutting, goods from our shop, our courses, and the model library and community features. Please read section 8 (cancelling), section 9 (defects) and section 16 (our liability) in particular, because they limit what you can claim from us.

1. Who we are

Xunda Tech, of Kireka, Kamuli Road, Kampala, Uganda. Email info@xunda3d.com, telephone 0776754088 or 0702025367. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Xunda Tech, and "you" means the person or organisation using the site or placing an order.

2. These terms

By using the site, submitting a quotation request or placing an order you accept these terms. If you are accepting them for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so. Where we have signed a separate written agreement with you, that agreement takes precedence over these terms.

How we handle your personal information and your design files is set out in our Privacy Policy.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account. Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

4. Quotations and estimates

The figure the website shows you while you are configuring a part is an estimate, produced automatically from the geometry of your file and the options you pick. It is not an offer and we are not bound by it.

The price that binds us is the written quotation we send you after a person has reviewed your files. That review can change the price, because the automatic estimate cannot see everything that affects cost — tooling, workholding, tolerances, pockets and secondary operations among them.

Unless the quotation says otherwise, it is valid for 30 days and assumes the files and quantities you supplied are final.

5. Orders and acceptance

Submitting a quotation request is a request, not an order. A contract is formed when we confirm your order in writing, or when we accept your payment against a quotation, whichever happens first.

We may decline an order. If we do, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid for it.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are in Uganda Shillings (UGX) and include any taxes we state on the quotation or invoice. Delivery is charged separately unless we say otherwise.

Payment terms are those stated on your quotation or invoice. Where we ask for payment before production, we will not start work until it has been received.

7. Lead times and delivery

Any lead time we give is our honest estimate, not a guaranteed date, and it runs from the point where we have your approved files, your chosen options and any payment due before production.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery, or on collection if you are collecting. Where we deliver through a carrier, delays caused by the carrier are outside our control.

8. Changing or cancelling an order

You may cancel at no cost at any time before production starts, and we will refund in full anything you have paid.

Once production starts the order cannot be cancelled and is not refundable, because the part is made to your design and we cannot sell it to anyone else. Production starts when we begin printing, cutting or machining, or when we buy material specifically for your job.

If you want to change a design, quantity or option after ordering, ask us. If production has not started we will requote where the change affects the price. If it has, we will tell you honestly what can and cannot be changed.

This clause is about custom-made parts. Stock goods bought from our shop can be returned unused and in their original condition within 7 days of delivery for a refund of the item price.

9. Checking your parts, and defects

Please check your parts when you receive them. Tell us within 7 days of delivery if anything is damaged, missing, or does not match the specification we accepted, and send photographs so we can see the problem.

Where we agree a part is defective or does not match the accepted specification, we will remake it free of charge, or refund what you paid for it, whichever we judge more practical, and we will discuss that with you first.

We are not responsible for a part that is made correctly to the file you supplied but does not do what you hoped, does not fit an assembly we were not shown, or fails because the material or process you chose was not suited to the job. If you are unsure which material or process to choose, ask us before you order.

Additive and subtractive manufacturing have normal tolerances, and colours, surface finish and layer appearance vary between batches. Variation within normal tolerance is not a defect.

10. Your design, and your rights in it

You keep all intellectual property rights in the designs and files you send us, and you own the parts we make for you once you have paid for them.

You grant us only the permission we need to do the job: to open, inspect, repair, adjust for manufacture, produce, inspect and deliver your part. We will not use your design for anything else.

We will not show your work publicly — in marketing, on social media, or as a sample to another customer — unless you give us permission in writing for that project.

By sending us a file you confirm that you own the design or are authorised to have it made, and that making it does not infringe anyone else's rights. If a third party brings a claim against us because making your part infringed their rights, you agree to cover us for that claim.

We keep the intellectual property in our own site, courses, tooling, process know-how and documentation.

11. What we will not make

We will not knowingly produce firearms, firearm components, ammunition or other weapons; items designed to injure; counterfeit goods or forgeries; items that infringe someone else's intellectual property; or anything unlawful under Ugandan law. We may refuse any job at our discretion, and we will tell you if we do.

12. Shop goods and courses

Stock goods are sold subject to section 8 and to any manufacturer warranty, which we will pass on to you. Course access is personal to you, is not transferable, and is licensed for your own learning rather than for redistribution. Where a course is delivered through a school programme, the agreement with the school governs access for its students.

13. Community content and conduct

You are responsible for what you publish on the site — models, makes, collections, forum posts, comments and contest entries. You keep your rights in what you publish, and you grant us permission to host and display it on the site so that the feature works.

Do not publish anything unlawful, abusive, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not publish other people's personal information. Where you publish a model under a licence, the licence you choose governs what others may do with it.

We may remove content that breaches these terms, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.

14. Marketplace sellers

Where you sell through the marketplace, you are the seller and you are responsible for what you list, for having the right to sell it, and for any tax you owe. We provide the platform and the payout mechanism, and we take the commission stated when you list. We may remove a listing that breaches these terms.

15. Confidentiality

We treat your designs, drawings and technical information as confidential, and we set out exactly what that means in section 11 of our Privacy Policy. You can also download a mutual non-disclosure agreement there and have us countersign it.

16. Our liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that Ugandan law does not allow us to exclude.

Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and in particular not for lost profit, lost revenue, lost production time, lost contracts, or the cost of a delay to your own project.

We are not liable for loss of a file you sent us where you have not kept your own copy. Please keep your own copies of your designs.

17. Things outside our control

We are not in breach of these terms if we are prevented or delayed by something beyond our reasonable control, including power or internet failure, machine breakdown, unavailability of material, transport disruption, fire, flood, civil disruption or government action. If that happens we will tell you and agree a new date, and if the delay is substantial either of us may cancel the affected order, in which case we refund what you have paid for work not yet done.

18. Suspending or closing an account

You can close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why. Closing an account does not cancel an order already in production or an invoice already due.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here when you place an order is the version that applies to that order. We will update the effective date at the top when we make a change.

20. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from an order, are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction. If a dispute arises we ask you to contact us first, because most problems are quicker to fix directly.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
