Privacy Policy
Xunda Tech — Kireka, Kamuli Road, Kampala, Uganda
Effective 19 September 2026

If you upload a design to get a quotation, the section on how we treat your design files and our confidentiality commitment are the parts that matter most to you.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. Ours are:
| What we do | Our basis |
|---|---|
| Prepare a quotation and manufacture, inspect and deliver your order | Performance of our contract with you |
| Run your account, the model library and the community features | Performance of our contract with you |
| Send you service messages about your order or account | Performance of our contract with you |
| Issue invoices and keep accounting and tax records | Our legal obligations |
| Keep the site secure, prevent abuse and investigate misuse | Our legitimate interest in a safe service |
| Run school programmes and record learner progress | Consent, obtained and held by the participating school |
| Send you marketing or newsletters | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
4. How we treat your design files
Your design files are the most sensitive thing you give us, and we treat them that way.
- We use them only to quote, manufacture, inspect and deliver your order.
- We do not publish them, sell them, or add them to the public model library.
- We do not show your work publicly — not in marketing, not on social media, not as a sample — unless you give us permission in writing for that project.
- We do not use your files to train artificial intelligence models.
- Inside Xunda Tech they are seen by the production, quality and accounts staff who need them to do your job.
- A file reaches an outside party only in the cases listed in section 6 — the machine or print farm that makes your part, and the analysis services you choose to use.
Your quotation request and its files flow into our internal sales, manufacturing and purchasing records, because that is how the part gets made and invoiced. Those records carry the same restrictions.
Our standing confidentiality commitment, and the signed NDA you can ask for, are in section 11.
5. Students and schools
Students take part in our courses through their school. Our agreement is with the school, and the school obtains and holds the parent or guardian consent required for a child's personal data under the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019.
For a learner we hold the details listed in section 2, the courses taken and the work submitted. The school can see the progress of its own students.
If you are a parent or guardian and you want to see, correct or delete your child's information, please contact the school first, as it holds the consent record. You can also write to us at info@xunda3d.com and we will act on the school's instruction or on your request.
Profile pages on this site are public. Please do not put a student's school, class, identifier or contact details into a public profile, biography or forum post.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as follows.
- The machines that make your part. Print farms and machine controllers we operate receive the file needed to produce your job.
- Analysis and generation services you choose to use. If you use the printability check or automatic repair feature, the model concerned is sent to Meshy AI for processing. If we enable AI model generation, prompts and generated models are processed by Tripo AI. These run only when you use those features.
- Payment and delivery providers, with what they need to take payment and deliver your order.
- Our professional advisers, and public authorities or courts where the law requires it.
Some of these services operate outside Uganda. Where that is the case we send only what the feature needs in order to work.
Separately, some pages load content from other companies directly into your browser, and those companies will see your IP address and device information: Google Fonts on most pages, Google Maps on our contact page, Google Forms on our applications page, YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode where a video is embedded, and the jsDelivr content network for some page scripts.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs in order to work:
- a session cookie, which keeps you logged in;
- a security token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery;
- your language preference;
- a visitor identifier, so the site behaves consistently as you move between pages.
We do not run Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising service on this site, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The embedded content described in section 6 may set its own cookies when it loads.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, you can still browse the site, but you will not be able to log in, upload a design or place an order.
8. How long we keep it
- Your account, profile, design files, quotations and community content: for as long as your account is open.
- After you close your account, or ask us to delete your data: we delete it within 12 months, apart from anything we are required to keep.
- Invoices and accounting records: for as long as Ugandan tax and company law requires us to keep them, even after your account closes.
- Individual design files: you can ask us to delete a specific file at any time, and we will, unless it is attached to an order we are still producing or to a record we are required to keep.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and the Data Protection and Privacy Regulations 2021 you may:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict that use;
- withdraw a consent you gave us, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it;
- complain about how we have handled your data.
Write to info@xunda3d.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that we do not give your information to someone else.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Office of Uganda.
10. How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Your quotation requests, design files and orders are restricted so that they are visible to you and to the Xunda Tech staff who need them, and not to other customers. Staff access is limited to the people whose work requires it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you believe your account or your files have been exposed, tell us at info@xunda3d.com and we will investigate.
11. Confidentiality and NDA
When you send us a design, a drawing or technical information in order to get a quotation or place an order, Xunda Tech undertakes that we will:
- treat it as confidential information belonging to you;
- use it only to prepare your quotation and to produce and deliver your order;
- disclose it only to the staff and production partners who need it for your job, and on the same terms;
- not publish it, show it or describe it to anyone else without your written permission;
- return or delete it when you ask, subject to section 8.
This commitment applies automatically. You do not have to sign anything to get it, and it applies to files you have already sent us.
If you want a signed agreement
Many customers need a countersigned document for their own records. Ours is a mutual non-disclosure agreement, running for three years from the date information is disclosed, governed by Ugandan law.
- Download the agreement: Xunda Tech Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (PDF)
- Fill in your details and sign it.
- Email the signed copy to info@xunda3d.com.
- We countersign and send a fully signed copy back to you within 2 working days.
You are welcome to do this before you upload anything. If your organisation prefers to use its own NDA, send it to the same address and we will review it.
12. Children
Accounts on this site are intended for adults. Learners under 18 take part through a school programme, where the school holds the parent or guardian consent, as described in section 5. If you believe a child has created an account outside a school programme, tell us and we will remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
We will post any change on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
