I am printing in ABS but the print is not sticking on the printbed, how do I solve this?

ABS is very prone to warping and needs a heated bed — if the bed isn't kept warm, the lower layers cool, shrink, and pull up at the corners. Make sure your build plate is actually maintaining its temperature for the entire print, not just at the start. If the bed can't hold heat or your printer has no heated bed at all, ABS generally won't stick well.

The bed surface also matters. ABS sticks better to surfaces like high-temperature Kapton tape or glass with an adhesive coating. You can also use a dedicated bed adhesion product such as Magigoo. Follow your manufacturer's recommendations for the right surface for ABS.

Before printing, confirm your bed is level and your Z-height is correct — a bad first layer won't grip. Print slow and hot to give the material more time to release stress, and use a brim to help hold the part down.

An enclosure around the printer helps a lot with ABS, since it keeps the ambient temperature stable and reduces warping that pulls the part off the bed.
