Hello

I would like to know more about 3D printing. What's the easy way out?

There isn't really a single "easy way out" — 3D printing isn't a simple, click-print process yet, and you'll need to understand a fair number of settings and parameters to get good results. The good news is that you don't need to own a printer, and you don't need any engineering design knowledge, to start learning what it's all about.

For a home setup, the most sensible starting point is a consumer-level printer that melts plastic filament and deposits it a layer at a time. This is the lower-cost end of the spectrum, aimed at budgets under about $2,500, and it's well suited to prototyping plastic parts. Other additive methods — light-cured photopolymers or powder-based processes — generally aren't appropriate for the average home user because of cost and the hassle of handling materials.

Be realistic about the trade-offs: cheaper machines produce less-detailed results, and prints can take hours or even days. Many consumer printers are hackable and use mostly open-source software, but a lot of parameters still need to be set by hand. If you need very high resolution for a final piece, a common approach is to prototype at home and send the file to a service bureau for printing on an expensive machine.

The quickest way to learn is to search for your specific problem online — someone has almost certainly hit it before. There are plenty of 3D printing tutorial channels and a large, helpful Facebook community for diagnosing prints. If you post a question, be humble, describe the exact issue, and include clear photos.
